What we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. Written to be read, not to be scrolled past.
CYMECH Energy Solutions Ltd, based in Paphos, Cyprus, operates this website. This policy explains what happens to your information. It applies to cymechenergy.com and nothing else.
The short version
- We use Google Analytics, and it does not load unless you accept cookies
- If you fill in the assessment form, we get what you typed, by email
- We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or run ad-tracking pixels
- You can ask us to delete anything you have sent us
Cookies and analytics
The only non-essential technology on this site is Google Analytics 4. It records which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and which of our tools get used. We use it to decide what to build next.
It is blocked until you press Accept. If you decline, or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent.
One small item is stored regardless: your cookie choice itself, kept in your browser so we do not ask again on every page. That is a technical necessity, not tracking, and it never leaves your device.
Our fonts load from Google Fonts. This does not set cookies, but it does mean Google receives your IP address as part of serving the font files.
To change your mind later, clear this site’s data in your browser settings and the banner will appear again.
The assessment form
When you submit the assessment form, the information goes to us by email through Formspree, a form-handling service. We receive whatever you chose to enter, which may include your name, phone number, email address, property details and an uploaded electricity bill.
We use it to prepare your assessment and to contact you about it. We do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not pass it to anyone else.
The chatbot
The question-and-answer assistant on our pages runs entirely in your browser from a fixed list of answers. It does not send your questions anywhere and does not record them.
How long we keep things
Enquiry emails stay in our inbox as business correspondence. If a project goes ahead, the records are kept as long as the installation is supported, which is a long time by design. If nothing comes of it, we are happy to delete it on request.
Analytics data is retained according to Google’s settings for our property and is not linked to anything that identifies you personally.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@cymechenergy.com and we will deal with it. There is no form to fill in.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus.
